Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Reffed ("the Service"), operated by PromptlessPress Technologies ("Reffed," "we," "us," "our"), based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The service

Reffed is a software-as-a-service platform that audits websites for AI search visibility and traditional SEO factors, generates content and structural improvements, and deploys those changes to subscriber websites with their authorization.

The Service is offered on a monthly subscription basis. Specific features available depend on the plan you select. We may add, modify, or discontinue features over time; we'll provide reasonable notice for material changes.

2. Account requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate, current information when signing up.
  • You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You're responsible for all activity on your account, except where there's been unauthorized access we should have detected and didn't.
  • One account per person or organization. Don't share accounts; don't resell access without explicit permission (agency plans are the exception).

3. Subscription, billing, and cancellation

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, based on the plan you select.
  • All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes may be added based on your location.
  • We use Stripe for payment processing. By providing payment info, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
  • Failed payments will result in a brief grace period (typically 7 days), after which service may be suspended until payment is resolved.

14-day money-back guarantee

If you're not satisfied with the Service, email support@reffed.ai within 14 days of your initial subscription and we'll refund your most recent payment in full. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

Cancellation

  • You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • Any improvements Reffed has made to your website remain on your site permanently after cancellation. You own those changes.
  • After cancellation, your account data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate. After that, it's deleted (except where retention is required by law, such as billing records).

Price changes

We may adjust pricing for new customers at any time. Existing customers are protected from price increases for as long as their subscription remains active and uninterrupted. If we ever need to raise prices for existing customers, we'll provide at least 60 days' notice and you'll have the option to cancel before the change takes effect.

4. Your website & content

You retain ownership

You own your website, your content, and all improvements Reffed makes to your site. We claim no ownership of your content, your audit data, or anything we deploy on your behalf.

License to operate the Service

You grant us a limited, revocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to access, analyze, modify, and store content from your connected website solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license ends when your subscription ends.

Content responsibility

  • You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to publish, modify, and distribute your website content.
  • You're responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before it publishes. Reffed's content engine requires your approval before publishing; if you have auto-publish enabled, you're responsible for monitoring.
  • You must not use Reffed to publish content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing on others' rights, deceptive, or harmful.

5. AI-generated content

Reffed uses AI to generate content suggestions, schema markup, meta tags, blog drafts, and audit recommendations. By using the Service, you understand and agree that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, factual inaccuracies, or stylistic inconsistencies. You're responsible for reviewing and approving content before publication.
  • Reffed makes no warranty that AI-generated content is original, plagiarism-free, or guaranteed to rank in search engines or be cited by AI engines. We use best practices to maximize originality and quality, but no SEO tool can guarantee specific outcomes.
  • Once content is published to your site, you become the publisher and are legally responsible for it.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or regulation
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
  • Resell or sublicense the Service, except under explicit agency plans
  • Use the Service to spam, send unsolicited communications, or attempt to manipulate search engines via deceptive techniques (cloaking, hidden text, etc.)
  • Submit websites you don't own or operate for paid Service activities (auditing other people's sites with the free audit tool is fine)
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Reffed's systems or other users' accounts
  • Use automated scrapers, bots, or scripts to access the Service beyond reasonable use

Violating these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

7. Service availability & modifications

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, third-party outages, or unforeseen issues may cause brief disruptions. We don't offer service-level credits, but we do communicate transparently about outages via status page and email.

We may modify the Service at any time, including adding features, changing existing functionality, or discontinuing features. We'll provide reasonable notice for material changes affecting core functionality.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • The Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
  • Any specific SEO ranking, AI citation, or traffic improvement will be achieved
  • Defects will be corrected on any specific schedule

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL REFFED BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE'VE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations of liability for consumer services. Where that's the case, the above limits apply to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Reffed harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) content you publish through the Service that infringes third-party rights or violates law; (c) your violation of any law or regulation.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:

  • You materially breach these Terms
  • Payment fails and isn't resolved within the grace period
  • We're legally required to do so
  • Your use of the Service poses a security or legal risk

On termination, your access to the Service ends, your data is retained per our Privacy Policy, and any improvements made to your website remain yours.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, unless small-claims court is appropriate.

Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to first attempt to resolve disputes by emailing support@reffed.ai. We'll respond within 30 days. Many disputes can be resolved informally without litigation.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email and posted on the site at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement — these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any plan-specific terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Reffed.
  • Severability — if any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver — our failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment — you may not assign this agreement without our consent. We may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
